Industrias Metálicas A.S.M. LTDA (autobuses Láser)
was founded in 1989 in Santafé de Bogotá by the Sosa
Ramirez brothers, who set up the company with a starting capital
of $15.000.000 Colombian pesos and previous 35-year experience in
the field of assembling large and small bus bodies. The company
started off working at a rented premises located in the north of
the city with five people, four of them in the production department
and one in charge of management, and built after a lapse of six
months, the first “Laser” bus body, for “Flota
Magdalena” bus transport company
Later on, the company moved to calle 68 con Av. Boyacá [68th
street with Boyacá Avenue], where it remained for 2 years,
after which time it purchased a constructed land at the Autopista
Sur, where it currently operates with a yearly production capacity
of 100 vehicles
We are a small company in comparison with those of the sector’s
in Colombia; nonetheless, this allow us to manufacture our products
with a great deal of energy, enthusiasm and passion, values through
which we have achieved a dominant position in the sector |
